Marian has been recognized as the IBM Software Center of Excellence. In this connection an MoU was signed between the IBM, represented by its Vice President Mr. Anil Menon and the Marian Engineering College, represented by the Principal Dr. I. Nelson Joseph. This is the first of its kind in the state of Kerala.

First sem B.Tech Classes begins on 7th July , 2010. The students along with their parents shall assemble in the College Library hall on Wednesday, 7th July 2010 as per the Following schedule,

The recruitment is carried out by KELTRON for WIPRO SYSTEMS. 2008, 2009 passed out students and the current S8 students are eligible for attending the placement.

Marian Engineering College marked their name in AAGNEYA v 3.0, the inter college cultural and technical fests conducted by Government Engineering College Barton Hill from 5th March 2010 to 7th March 2010. Jayanth Abraham was crowned as Mr. Avatara, the personality contest of AAGNEYA v 3.0. The team consisting of Ashish Paul, Rajesh Sharma, Rahul Narayanan and Raymone Cherian came first in the junkyard wars. Ashish Paul and Vinod.V came second in the Auto Quiz
