Engineering is a broad field with many different specializations. Some engineers design and develop new products, while others focus on the business side of engineering. No matter what type of engineer you are or want to be, it’s important to know the five main types of engineers in order to make an informed decision when considering your future career choice.

1) Aerospace Engineers  – These engineers work in the aviation industry designing aircrafts and spacecrafts for NASA, private companies, and militaries around the world. They use their knowledge of physics and mathematics combined with computer modeling software to create designs that will work in both terrestrial and aerospace environments.

2) Chemical Engineering: A type of engineer who designs, manufactures, and runs chemical processes like those used by oil refineries or factories making plastics. These engineers need a strong knowledge base in chemistry but also have to study physics.

3) Mechanical Engineering: A type of engineering that specializes in designing and building mechanical systems such as vehicles or robots. These engineers need a strong background in mathematics and science as well as creativity.

4). Environmental Engineering – These engineers use their talents to protect our planet by designing sustainable solutions to environmental issues like water pollution or climate change

5) Electrical Engineering – Are responsible for developing and maintaining the electrical systems that power our homes, cars and more.

Ever wonder what an electrician does? Electrical engineering is about so much more than just installing wiring: They study heat transfer in electronics as well as energy harvesting from motion!
